Peavoy Financial Planning was formed in October 2013 by David Peavoy. David has over 22 years’ experience in the Financial Services industry.

He began his career with Canada Life in 1996 and quickly worked his way up through the ranks to become manager of their Cork Branch Office in 1999.

In 2001 he returned to Canada Life in Dublin to manage the Corporate Pension Division for 4 years before moving on to work as a Pensions & Investment Consultant, where he spent 7 very successful years. These varied roles were an ideal foundation for his work as a financial planner.

In 1997, David successfully completed the requisite examinations stipulated by the Financial Planning Diploma Board, and was admitted by diploma as a Qualified Financial Advisor (QFA). David completed further studies in 2001 and achieved the Pensions Diploma qualification from the Life Insurance Association. He must participate in the continuous professional development each year in order to retain these qualifications.

Attention to detail, accuracy under pressure and conservative behaviour in complex situations are hallmarks of his current popularity with his clients in his practice. David is capably supported by a team of specialists, whose work and follow-through help him in setting new standards of service excellence, while building lifetime relationships with his expanding client base.

David is passionate about listening to problems before prescribing solutions and then repositioning his clients’ family balance sheets in order to speed up the wealth creation process, whilst taking care of the major risks along the journey.  His focus is on families, business owners and professionals.

David is happily married to Sile and they are the proud parents of three enthusiastic children. Away from the business, David enjoys attending sports events, especially Rugby and Gaelic Games and spending time with his family.
